Subject: Saving 65% in cutting aluminum part with iMachining 2D at customer Terlidor
Emil,
Terlidor a SolidCAM customer for several years, is a factory that produces electronic products for the Defense Industry.
They have a machining department with four CNC machines (3 Milling machines and 1 turning machine) .
Yesterday their programmer Boris called me and said they received a job to cut 400 pieces of stock material, AL- 6061, and they must reduce the part’s cutting time.
They have done this part before, and the cutting time was 17 minutes with standard SolidCAM 2.5D Mill operations.
It was the best opportunity to demonstrate the amazing capabilities of iMachining.
Today I went there and I programmed the part with iMachining 2D.
CNC Machine: Doosan
Stock material size: 200 * 120 * 45 mm
Material: AL- 6061
Tool: End Mill of Iscar – Diameter 16 mm, 3-Teeth
Depth of Cut: 38 mm
iMachining cutting time: 6 min – 65% saving
Total cycle time saving for the 400 piece series: 73 hr 20 min
Obviously the manager of the company Leon was totally impressed and immediately asked us for a quote on iMachining.
He bought iMachining the same day.
